Description:
This starter set of the LAB series is suitable for many ant species.
Ideal to observe founding colonies well. It is kept simple and offers enough space for the animals to start.
This ANTCUBE box is provided with an insertable frame as well as an attachable lid and also has two 27mm connections. The lid has a 50mm hole, in which grid inserts, fans etc. can be inserted. This practical and easy to maintain arena is suitable as a feeding or waste chamber.
The nest or flat formicarium contains special gypsum points for nest humidification. Via a moisture-sucking cord, the plaster point can be supplied with water from a reservoir placed underneath, without having to open the formicarium. It provides a good observation opportunity.
Optional:
Our nest tubes can be connected directly to the arena via another basin connector for hole 27 item no. 1004377 with nut item no. 1005037.
To give the animals an underground feeling, we recommend a red cover plate Art.No. 1005428
The gypsum points art.no. 1005433 can be reordered and exchanged if necessary.
Note on the connection sockets
When attaching or removing hoses, please note the following:
If the hose is very difficult to fit onto the connection socket, the socket should be lightly rubbed with a drop of our breakout protection oil or powder. The hose should then be pushed onto the socket by twisting or screwing movements without loading the socket with up and down movements. The same applies when removing the hoses from the connection socket. Please do not simply pull it off!
